Recreation Assistants (Lifeguard)

Based: Preston  

Shifts incl. evenings and weekends

 

GLL are looking for Recreation Assistants to work at Fulwood and West View Leisure Centres in Preston. It is an exciting time to join GLL in Preston as our Centres are getting busier and we continue to add additional programs, lessons and courses. As a supportive employer we help to ensure you stay at the top of your game. We provide ongoing training on practical and theory elements.

 

This is also not just a job. For those interested we support you with Swimming Teacher or Gymnastics Coach qualifications and a lot of our Trainee Managers and Apprentices start their career as flexible workers alongside studies, sport or other employment.

 

Pool safety can't be underestimated - and neither can the responsibility that comes with this vital lifeguarding role. You will complete regular pool rotations, supervising and cleaning the pool area, sett up equipment and deliver a first-class customer service when dealing with queries. Do your job well, and there shouldn't ever be an emergency. But if the unexpected should happen, you'll be equipped with the skills to potentially save a life.

 

If you're calm under pressure, highly responsible and a natural with people from all walks of life, this is your chance to develop as a Lifeguard. We look for integrity, a can-do attitude and a real focus on customer service. Passion and personality will also stand you in good stead, combined with knowledge of health and safety legislation and a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. A great team player, you'll make sure our customers have the best possible experience - in terms of enjoyment, safety and hygiene.
