Job title: Relief Duty Manager

Location: Swallows Leisure Centre

Job type: Permanent, full time

Working Hours: 39 per week, between Monday to Sunday, covering earlies, days and lates

Salary: £20,280.00 per annum + excellent benefits



Here at Swallows Leisure Centre our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across all segments of the local community. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Relief Duty Manager to join our centre. 



As the Relief Duty Manager, the purpose of your role is to work within the centre ensuring customer safety and high standards of service and customer care at all times.  The role will involve supervision of specific activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and the safe handling and set up of equipment.


In addition, you will supervise the work of the Leisure Assistants and assist the Duty Manager in ensuring the building is run smoothly.

About you


The successful candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual who like the members of staff at Swallows, pride and strive to give the best service possible for those who visit the centre and go the extra mile for customers when required and are confident using a computer.


You will able to demonstrate a level of experience and knowledge commensurate with the position, with previous experience of working in a leisure environment including pool supervision where appropriate.


It is desirable that you hold a current Royal Lifesaving Society National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and a current first aid at work qualification.
