Category Insight Analyst - Leeds

Are you passionate about customers, have an analytical mind and enjoy seeing your insight turn into action?

Working within the commercial food teams and reporting to the Customer Planning Manager, you will support in delivering insights to shape the customer-based strategy to deliver competitive advantage.

You will ensure that we understand our customers' needs and direct in the development of marketing strategies to meet and exceed these needs.

The Role

You will support on long term strategic projects through compelling insight and stakeholder management in addition to facilitating short term review and action planning across Non-Edible Grocery to drive our customer proposition and performance. You will engage with media & activation teams to ensure that key insight is translated into the activity plan. You will be working cross functionally in assessing seasonal performance, highlighting successes and key opportunities to inform future decision making, along with delivering insight to develop our OL innovation pipeline aligned to business activity plan and our format development plan. You will also be a key stakeholder in the creation of category strategies, built using robust customer data with a view to achieve consistent growth ahead of the market

About You

  • You will be customer-obsessed with a desire to effect change on behalf of our customers.
  • Ideally you will have experience working with a range of different data sources such as Nielsen and Kantar, providing analysis and producing actionable insights, coupled with a strong ability to communicate your findings to influence stakeholders.
  • You will thrive in a busy working environment and be able to prioritise, plan and organise a high volume of work
  • You will have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to adapt outputs to the appropriate audience
  • Ideally you will be proficient in use of Microsoft Excel for organising and analysing data and Microsoft PowerPoint for creating quality presentations.
  • You will be a strong communicator to engage and influence across cross functional teams
