Reed’s School is one of the leading Independent Secondary Day and Boarding Schools in the country, providing an education for over 790 pupils. The School is all-boys from 11-16 and has a co-educational Sixth Form. Reed’s School has recently merged with Ripley Court School, a popular independent co-educational preparatory school for 3-11 year olds set in 19 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside including extensive playing fields and a Forest School.

We are looking to recruit a School Shop Assistant Manager who will co-ordinate all operational aspects of the School shop including maintaining and developing the School inventory system, ordering stock, invoicing and other financial administration, coordinating school uniform fittings for new and existing pupils and to provide a high level of customer service to all those who visit the School Shops.

Applicants must be able to effectively communicate with pupils, parents and staff to ensure an efficient, professional and friendly service at all times. Previous experience of stock management and working within a retail role is essential.

The role-holder will predominantly work from the Reed’s School site in Cobham but will be required to work from the Ripley Court site regularly.

The hours of work will be 8.30pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and this will be an all year-round role to include school holidays. A job share may be considered should two suitable applicants apply.

The salary for this role will be between £28,000 and £32,000 dependent on knowledge, skills and experience.

The closing date for applications will be midday on Tuesday 24th May 2022.

Reed’s School and Ripley Court School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
