Job Purpose

The Assistant Bar Manager is to oversee the running of the bar service. You are the example to the Bar team when it comes to service, knowledge, and standards. They ensure the bar operation is running smoothly and that guests are receiving the best experience possible.

Main Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the running of the bar
  • Preparing and serving drinks to customers
  • Providing a consistently high level of customer service
  • Maintaining high levels of cleanliness
  • Keeping stocks and inventory
  • Complying with and following licensing regulations, company procedures and policies
  • Assist in bartender training
  • Have a direct input into menu and product development
  • Process transactions accurately
  • Boost revenue through upselling
  • Open and close of bars and stock areas

Requirements

  • A big personality with pure passion for everything bar related
  • Minimum 3 years cocktail and bar experience
  • Problem solving and background in high level customer service experience
  • Fluent in stock takes and orders
  • A great understanding of classic cocktail specs and techniques
  • Good working knowledge of cocktails/spirits/wine/beer
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and late nights
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Working knowledge with a POS System
  • Industry related certifications (i.e. WSET) - Desirable
