Front of House Porter - Temporary

Temporary Front of House Porter -  Rhinefield House Hotel, New Forest 

June 2022 start to September/October 2022 finish 

We are looking for a smart, friendly and helpful Front of House Porter to join our team this summer season. 

Your character, personality and charm will make every guest instantly feel welcome and you will be a natural at handling challenges ensuring a positive resolution is always achieved. You will be able to give a fantastic welcome to our guests when they arrive with your warm personality and will pride yourself on being smart and presentable as the face of the Hotel.

As the Front of House Porter you will show our guests to their rooms once they have checked in, helping to carry their luggage and recommending things to do during their visit.  You will also support the reception team with answering phone calls and ordering taxi's. 

This is a 30 hour per week position that offers a mixture of hours and flexibility, including early shifts from 7:00am to late shifts to 9:30pm. This is on a rota basis and includes weekends.

Experience in a similar role is desirable although this role might also suit someone with hospitality experience in another department looking to progress their career in a new role.

• You will have recent experience working in a Guest facing role in the hospitality industry delivering high standards of service
• You will have a warm and welcoming manner, who can confidently interact with every guest from every age group – whether they are 5 or 95!
• You’ll be excellent at building a rapport with new and returning guests
• You’ll take pride in your appearance, as the face of Hand Picked Hotels
