Role based at Dewsbury Sports Centre and Batley Baths & Recreation Centre

Interviews are scheduled to take place on either Monday 23rd or Tuesday 24th May

The Operations Manager (OM) role is an important position within the KAL operations team.

You will oversee the management of specific, allocated KAL managed sites and have, with the support of the General Manager, responsibility and accountability for them, leading (in some cases, remotely) teams to deliver excellent customer service, in a clean and safe environment. In addition to considering the performance information received from customers, to continually seek to improve the service provided.

Along side the General Manager (GM) you will ensure the integrated development and implementation of appropriate new products, as well as contributing towards the review of such products.

You will lead by example, being visible and approachable, carrying out relevant inspections and audits and ensuring that all actions are delivered. Whilst delegating site supervision to Team Leaders, it will also be the responsibility of the OM to work with the General Manager to share good practice, across the KAL managed sites, and the wider organisation, to help achieve a consistent and standardised approach to effective operational management.

Whilst you will be allocated specific site/s to be responsible for, the fundamental purpose of the team of Operations Managers will be to assist the General Manager in the overall operational delivery at KAL managed sites. This will require a degree of flexibility of approach and thinking from the OM as KAL continues to move towards a more integrated, interchangeable and standardised format cross-site. The OM role is a senior position within KAL and imperative to the successful delivery of KAL's business strategy, directly responsible for the retention and satisfaction of KAL's customers.
