Introduction to the Swansea Marriott Hotel

As the third largest city in Wales, Swansea represents an attractive destination for both business people and tourists alike. The Swansea Marriott Hotel is located just a short walk from the centre of Swansea and is situated on the beach front and the Marina. The hotel is just a short drive to the Mumbles and the Gower Peninsula making it an attractive location for all.

The Swansea Marriott hotel caters for a whole range of guests by providing both a personal and friendly service, alongside our exceptional facilities, including our Cast Iron Restaurant.

 

The Role Itself and the Duties Involved  

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Food and Beverage department for a Casual Food and Beverage Associate. The role itself is a casual position and you will be expected to be flexible regarding the hours worked.

Main Duties Include:

• To ensure a smooth service delivery within the Food and Beverage function is delivered to at all times.
• Serving and attending to guests needs, whether it be on the bar or in the restaurant area.
• Communicating with the kitchen department to ensure effective service is delivered to our guests.
• To carry out all reasonable requests given by a shift leader, supervisor or Manager.
• To ensure that Company standards and guest satisfaction are maintained at all times.

 

Qualifications and Skills

There are a range of qualifications, skills and characteristics we are looking for to successfully fill this role. These include:

• Some previous Food & Beverage serving experience within with in a 4 star hotel environment or similar
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work alone and within a team.
• Strong communication skills, with a good level of English.
