Pay Rate: £12.50

Working Hours: Variable Shift Rota - 08:30 - 17:30 - 40 hours per week

Atalian Servest is currently recruiting for a Deputy Housekeeping Manager to join our passionate and driven team in Glasgow!

A busy 4 star 260-bedroom hotel set within the vibrant city centre of Glasgow. This is a busy hotel that thrives on leisure guests visiting the city for concerts, and sporting events. The hotel has a very strong corporate market due to extensive conference and meeting room facilities.

Job Description:

To supervise, train and work alongside all housekeeping staff to ensure all hotel rooms and public areas are cleaned to a very high standard and always in the best condition. You will liaise with the management and heads of departments to ensure all areas of the hotel are clean and tidy.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Head Housekeeper in the operation of the housekeeping department.
  • Provide the housekeeping team with the leadership required to maximize guest comfort at optimal productivity levels.
  • Ensure schedule is maintained in line with productivity guidelines and that training is planned effectively.
  • Schedule own time effectively around business-critical processes and peak trading periods.
  • Lead your team to deliver ahead of the targeted KPI improvements and in line with the agreed standard operating procedures.
  • Spot check quality standards daily and provide feedback / take corrective action.


About You:

  • Excellent time management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent supplier relationship skills as you will be dealing with suppliers of linen, guest supplies etc.
  • Ensuring company policies are maintained at all times.
  • An exceptional eye for detail with the ability to prioritise well and keep the department running ensuring SLAs are met and exceeded.
  • Strong knowledge of Hotel/ Housekeeping Health and Safety legislation and be proactive in the reduction of onsite accidents.
  • Excellent customer focus with the ability to gain commitment from team members as well as build excellent relationships with clients, customers and team members.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and have strong management capability- we work to sometimes very tight deadlines.
  • IT literate, especially in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
