The Forest of Arden is part of an exclusive collection of Marriott country clubs and is located in the heart of the West Midlands, located between Solihull and Coventry with easy access to the M6, M42 and M40, just four miles from Birmingham NEC, Airport and International Train Station.

Facilities of the Forest of Arden include our AA rosette-awarded restaurant, Cast Iron Bar and Grill, two golf courses including our championship Arden course, a driving range and the Golf academy. There is our relaxing Spa with 8 treatment rooms, outdoor tennis courts and a fully equipped fitness centre.

As a member of our Front Office Team you are responsible for the smooth and efficient running of a reception shift, and creating a welcoming environment for all our guests.

Specific duties include but are not limited to;

Supplying the highest possible levels of customer care and service whether in the public eye or in the Heart of the House.

  • To liaise with housekeeping as to the daily allocation of rooms.
  • To liaise with control as to control of administration procedures, security of reception and floats.
  • Knowledge of hotel rates and special rates and the hotels facilities.
  • To understand the correct reservation procedures and to take any reservations in the absence of the reservation's agent.
  • To operate the telephone, Opera and Micros.
  • To understand the banking and change order procedure.
  • To be fully aware of the Accident Reporting Procedure, Maintenance Fault Procedure and Fire Policy.
  • To understand how the hotel Health and Safety Policy affects your department and how it links with the rest of the hotel.
  • Responsible for all payment transactions on the shift and to report and discrepancies.
  • All Marriott Policies on Cash, Key and all Controls are adhered to and followed consistently.
