Housekeeping Assistant Manager- Accommodation (Fixed Term) - Bedfordshire

Our Housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining more than 800 units of accommodation; from apartments and penthouses to Lodges and Treehouses, and for looking after our public areas and office spaces, so no two days are the same. That’s why it’s the largest team on each Village.

HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT MANAGER- ACCOMMODATION | Circa £24,000 per annum

You will assist the Housekeeping management team in the smooth and efficient running of the housekeeping division, managing a team of Team Leaders and up to 90 colleagues.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the organisation and allocation of duties relating to the housekeeping cleaning operation, ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved and maintained at all times.
  • Assisting with managing budgets and payroll costs to ensure all divisional targets are achieved, without compromising our level of customer care.
  • The effective recruitment and selection of housekeeping colleagues and the coordination and evaluation of training needs within the division.
  • The general welfare, motivation and development of direct reports, including the monitoring of standards in line with company policy.

HOURS OF WORK

This is a fixed term contract until 16 March 2023.

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive your contracted hours each period. Shifts will generally be 8:30am-4:30pm.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays including during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential requirements:

  • Proven supervisory/management experience within a demanding service driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills with an organised and methodical approach
  • Motivational approach towards colleagues and work
  • Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous experience of managing large teams of people
  • Previous experience in the Cleaning and/or Hospitality industry
