We love that our function is fast paced and incredibly varied – this means that we never get bored! As our HR Advisor, you may find yourself coaching a manager through a complex ER case one minute, and the next you are leading absence management training or advising on our company policies. This role is ideal for a generalist HR professional, with a focus on Employee Relations. Our HR Advisor is there to provide the invaluable support and guidance to our manager and colleagues on all things People related to ensure a positive colleague experience as well as protecting the brand at all times.

This role is far reaching across the business and forms trusted relationships with all colleagues. You will be based within our Springs resort in Leicestershire but you will be supporting properties all over the country so it is important that you can form strong effective working relationships with stakeholders, managers and colleagues through any and all forms of communication.

As previously mentioned, this is a generalist HR role, with a focus on ER so you will be responsible for all ER casework, coaching of managers through policies and procedures, absence management and maternity/paternity management whilst also supporting the wider function with ad hoc duties.

Some key responsibilities include;

  • Responsibility and accountability for casework and ER issues, providing both best practice and commercial advice and solutions.
  • Provide guidance and advice on all ER matters (disciplinary, grievance, absence, ill-health, and performance capability).
  • Provide managers with support on employee concerns ensuring all cases are managed effectively and in-line with relevant policies and legislation.
  • Ensure that managers deal with issues professionally and sensitively in accordance with procedures and best practice.
  • Own HR policies, ensuring they are kept up to date and, in line with changes to business needs and legislation.
  • Supporting with employee change programmes within the business when required.
  • Coach managers through grievance hearings, investigation meetings, disciplinary hearings, and health-related absence cases
  • Create and deliver training in all aspects of ER.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation/case law.
  • Support the wider HR team when needed.
  • Review and provision of monthly ER data.
  • Ownership across absence triggers as per business policies.
  • Responsible for GDPR compliance.
  • Own the IR35 process and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current legislation.

The ideal candidate;

  • will have experience dealing with complex ER casework
  • will have experience working within a fast-paced People function
  • will have up to date knowledge of employment law
  • will have the ability to act on their own initiative and think outside the box
  • will have hospitality or leisure experience
