JOB SUMMARY                                                                               

Responsible for hotel Laundry daily operations and services reporting directly to Linen room supervisor.  Position works with associates to ensure hotel line is washed, dried and ironed.  Position strives to ensure guest and associate satisfaction while ensuring able to maximizing the department productivity and ensure financial performance through tight stock and cost control.

SPECIFIC DUTIES 

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

1. To be aware of hotel's layout and facilities.
2. Carry out daily Laundry shift operations and ensures compliance with all policies, standards and procedures.
3. Performs hourly job functions as necessary.
4. Ensures consistent workflow to minimize peaks and valleys in production.
5. Ensures stock of linen pars.
6. Analyzes all discards of stained and torn linen.  Determines items that can be salvaged.  Maintains records of discarded linen.
7. Operates all department equipment as necessary and reports malfunctions.
8. Meet operational needs and financial objectives are met.
9. Effectively implements new techniques, supplies and equipment.
10. Works effectively with the Engineering department on Laundry equipment maintenance needs.
11. Awareness of energy conservation efforts and monitors compliance with procedures.
12. Understands and complies with loss prevention policies and procedures.
13. Supports a departmental orientation program for associates to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.  To ensure the job holder is cross-trained to support successful daily operations within housekeeping.
14. Moving of linen around the hotel.
15. Providing support where required to room attendants.
