Finance Assistant

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 – Dependent upon experience

Hours: 40 hours – Monday to Friday

 

Tips typically over £200 per month (£2,400 per year)

Grantley Hall is an exclusive, five star luxury hotel and wellness retreat, nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Purpose of the Role:

As the Finance Assistant you’ll be assisting with the day-to-day finance operations within the hotel, primarily responsible for reviewing and maintaining the controls process, with a particular focus on revenue audits and credit control.

  • Co-ordinate all banking reconciliations
  • Monitor and maintain sales ledger and guest ledger accounts
  • Produce and circulate the daily revenue reports
  • Process invoices and expenses
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Process petty cash claims
  • Prepare finance reconciliations
  • Maintain and reconcile cashbooks
  • Support to the finance team as required
  • Any other reasonable request as required from time to time

 

About You:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analytic and reporting skills
  • Prior knowledge of Sage and Opera (desirable but not essential)
  • Good level of proficiency with MS excel and word
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Finance qualification (desirable but not essential)
