Finance Analyst - London
Purpose of the Job
To support the Finance Business Partner in the production of both regular and ad-hoc reporting, maintenance of key financial systems such as Accounts IQ, Power BI, Fourth Inventory, Fourth Workforce Management and Access Epos System, assist with annual budget and quarterly reforecasting process.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing weekly and monthly packs for leadership meetings
- Maintain concise reporting using consistent data
- Provide support for key insight reporting such as labour productivity and cost of sales analysis
- Assist with the design and maintenance of reports and dashboards to meet user needs and enhance stakeholder decision-making and planning.
- Support the business to improve processes and utilisation of systems e.g. exploring opportunities for automation and providing technical support & training.
- Any other duties that may arise from time to time.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
- Considerable experience of working within an accounting environment including development of financial reporting systems, procedures and controls. Highly numerate and analytical, with ability to interpret and present data clearly.
- Excellent information technology skills including advanced Excel and a good understanding of databases, Fourth Hospitality Suite (Workforce Management and Inventory), POS, data uploads, extraction, and interfaces with other systems experience.
- Experience of Budgeting and forecasting
- Experience of managing, delivering and supporting a variety of challenging projects including technical, systems and controls.
- Experienced finance systems analyst/systems accountant
- Experience of working in a similar role with the ability to apply problem solving skills and take responsibility for resolving issues.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies, suggesting and implementing innovative solutions, understanding customer needs and adapt service levels to take account of practicalities.
- Excellent team working skills including the ability to contribute proactively and supportively to the delivery of team initiatives.
- Experience of successfully integrating finance systems with other in-house systems (e.g. purchase ordering, travel & expense management, payroll).
- Proven track record supporting, administering, enhancing hospitality systems.
Desirable:
- A commercially aware part-qualified/qualified accountant who can demonstrate the ability to undertake FP&A and business partnering effectively
- Access EPoS, PowerBI, Fourth Analytics and Accounts IQ experience.
- Prior use of Excel Power Query or PowerPivot.
- Previously worked in Retail, Leisure, Hospitality, or an industry supplying into those industries
