Leisure Impact Sales Manager - Ashton-Under-Lyne, Manchester

Responsible For: Supporting Sales Teams

Reporting To: Leisure National Sales Manager

Place of Work: Leisure Clubs various across region

Hours: 45 hours per week

Purpose of the Role

  • Your role is to support ‘in need’ sales teams in delivering membership sales to agreed targets, sharing how good our facilities are with prospective new members and signing them up to a new way of life. 

  • Your role will involve traveling to multiple sites across the business, for varied lengths of time, to support the onsite sales teams. All expenses will be paid, including accommodation where required.

  • You and the team you work with will focus on maximizing leisure membership sales through effective lead generation and selling techniques, providing information as required to prospects and conducting confident and informed 121 sales tours.

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Results & Financial Performance – delivering membership sales to agreed individual & team targets, daily, weekly & monthly. Treating the business as if it were your own. 
  • Quality – be fully aware of all promotional activities to ensure they are correctly implemented and actioned. Fully utilise the membership prospect. Focus on precise aims and requirements of potential members and offer advice to match the package to the individual. Fully adhere to the relevant sales systems and procedures
  • Great Service – assist members and prospective members in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. Member and guest satisfaction should be monitored using reflective feedback. Deal with complaints / problems politely and make every effort to resolve these. 
  • Leadership – provide vision, motivate and evaluate individuals and the team. Role model our standards relentlessly. Your enthusiasm is infectious and catching! 
  • Management and development of talented people – Support in the training of talented individuals. Complete coaching & performance reviews, where required, with the goal of developing individuals to excel in their own role and to have potential for career progression within Village. Communicate focus areas, targets, and updates. 
  • Statutory compliance Support all members of the team to achieve and maintain standards to the highest possible level in respect of service and Health & Safety. Fully adhere to the cash handling and security procedures and systems. 

 

Essential:

 

 

 

 

  • Proven track record of working towards and achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Self-starter & driven.
  • Able to travel and stay away from home on a regular basis. 

Desirable:

  • Experience in managing, training & coaching a sales team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • 2+ years experience of working in leisure membership sales.
  • Confident using computers, including the use of the Google Workspace.
