The role will report into the Housekeeping Team Leader/Duty Manager and will provide support at the hub of the business as it continues to grow. This role will cover supporting the team leader as well as deputizing in their absence when required.

The role will report into the Reception and Sales Events Supervisor and will provide support at the hub of the business as it continues to grow. This role will cover supporting the team leader and completing Duty Management Shifts when required.

The responsibility.

Your role is to work with and inspire the team in your hotel in order to deliver a World Class experience for every guest on every visit, contribute to Colleague engagement, work to the business plan and enable growth to be sustained over the longer term. This includes delivering consistent operational and brand standards, protecting our reputation and people through compliance with the safety & security legal framework whilst maximizing efficiencies. Display commitment and diligence to the delegated tasks and overall goals. Be a visible role model obsessed with the guest experience and continuous improvement. Taking overall responsibility for the resident’s experience during the night and delivering a compelling and profitable accommodation offer.

  • Ensure that the crisis management process is followed, and act accordingly. Understand and complete any training required in order to safely manage:  emergency situations e.g. bomb threats, gas leaks, Fire, First Aid/medical emergencies.
  • Provide a safe working environment for the team & guest by following company safety and security procedures, and report any issues.
  • Comply with all food safety, allergen compliance, health and safety, fire, and security policies.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues and comply with planned reactive repairs.
  • Competently complete all required checklists specific to the night shift, including general cleaning tasks.
  • Complete safety and security checks – covering a full inspection of hotel corridors, public areas, back of House – Kitchen, function rooms, and all means of escape on regular intervals throughout the shift (as per nights check-list)
  • Manage the Security of the building in accordance with Company policy and procedures i.e (external doors locked) when working alone.
  • Communicate and liaise with all team members, all departments demonstrating a willingness to embrace company standards.
  • Complete a full handover at the start and ends of the shift, and provide the early duty manager with a copy of the Nights check-list which should be signed and represent a true portrayal of tasks completed during the night shift.
