Volunteer Coordinator - Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Hours: 25 - 30 hours per week

This is a exciting role within KAL which will support our already growing number of volunteers who operate across KAL's programmes and sites.  We currently have a large number of volunteers supporting KAL across our physical activity and exercise sessions, swimming programmes and clubs.  The co-ordinator role will look to support our existing volunteers and look to recruit new volunteers as part of our outreach work in local communities and to build the capacity of the Charity.

We are looking for a highly organised individual who is passionate about the role of volunteers, with proven experience in successfully recruiting, supporting and developing volunteers.

Confident and credible, you'll need to be comfortable working with people from a variety of backgrounds with excellent communication skills. You will play a key role in embedding best practice in volunteer management throughout the organisation.  Excellent administration skills and good general IT skills are also key requirements for this role.

Working alongside key colleagues you will look to recruit new volunteers working with a range of internal and external partners from the voluntary and community sector, in particular TSL Volunteering; primary and secondary healthcare services; education establishments; and Kirklees Council.
