Nuffield Health Hospitals Sterile Services Unit (HSSU) is a division of Nuffield Health which supports our hospitals in the supply of sterile and/or disinfected surgical equipment to the local hospital network.

What will the role as a Driver involve? As a Driver your role will include;

• Collecting and making deliveries of medical devices by van/car at up to a maximum of four sites a day.

• Receiving and checking deliveries of medical devices from the customer.

• Equipment checks and fault reporting.

• Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.

• Tachograph recording.

• Loading and unloading the vehicles however there is a tail life for the trolley.

• Liaising with hospital co-ordinators.

What do we look for in our drivers? You will;

• Hold a full driving licence, including a C1 entitlement, which allows you to drive vehicles from transit vans up to 7.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).

• Have basic knowledge of current driver hour legislation and preferably hold a Driver digital tachograph card

• DQC or CPC qualification (if you don't have this, we can pay for you do it).

• Be comfortable with manual handling - movement of transport trolleys.

The role will involve working early morning/evenings and Saturdays, so applicants need to be flexible with regards to working hours.

A uniform will be provided along with appropriate personal protective equipment.

Location - Wetherby
Full Time, 37.5 hours a week - 8 hour shifts with a 30-minute break. Rotational shift patterns can vary between the hours of 3.30am - 9pm.

Salary - £17,374.50
