Camp America: Horse Riding Instructor on a summer camp in the USA

Want to spend 9 weeks living and working on a summer camp in the USA? Love horses? Be a horse-riding counsellor next summer!

Hundreds of camps are looking for people with a passion for working with horses to spend their summer at their camp. If you fancy spending your summer at the stables doing something you love, then sign up today!

You may be working individually or as part of a team of specialists to organise and lead coaching sessions tailored towards different age groups, abilities and gender of campers. This will provide the opportunity to introduce and teach the basics of riding to the younger beginners as well as to help the more advanced kids improve their skills.

For the remainder of the day, it's likely that you'll also take on a role as a 'General Counsellor' in which you'll be assigned to take care of a specific bunk of kids during meal times and throughout the night.

You must feel confident with helping children learn to ride. Camps look to hire participants with experience in English or Western style riding and in your application make sure you talk about your stable care knowledge.

Horse Riding Instructors are in high demand and considered one of our ‘Advanced Skills’ which means you’ll have a really great chance of getting placed and be eligible to receive a higher rate of pocket money! If you have any experience in those skills make sure you put them on your application! If you have any qualifications/certifications in this, make sure you add these to your application as it will help us determine whether you meet the requirements of an Advanced Skill Counsellor.

Don’t miss out. Join 8,000+ other young people on the adventure of a lifetime and sign up for more info now.

Our programme includes return flights to the USA, Group International Accident & Sickness coverage, nine weeks food and accommodation, pocket money ($750 – $1,325), support from beginning to end plus much more.
