Project Manager - Consultant (Leisure) - Droitwich, Worcestershire

A full time, permanent position which can be carried out from home, with trips to head office and sites.

An exciting opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager working within the leisure / hospitality sector seeking greater responsibility and progression. Flexible / home based arrangements available. The full time role requires the individual to work on a national portfolio of commercial leisure fit out projects.

The Opportunity

With guidance and supervision of the Senior Management Team responsibilities will include:

  • Landlord and Client engagement
  • Establish the project brief, undertake procurement processes and appointment of suppliers
  • Manage Project end to end process, lead and coordinate suppliers' teams
  • Appoint and manage design teams whilst ensuring design specifications are being met throughout the project
  • Establish, agree and manage project programme
  • Contract administration and Programme Management
  • Financial management of projects - Raising invoices, tracking project budget and advising both internally and externally on project progress and viability
  • Liaise with operations teams and stakeholders throughout project process

The Person

You should also demonstrate:

  • A proven track record of delivering high quality project management services across the full project lifecycle preferably within the leisure/hospitality sector
  • Ability to lead/operate and oversee specialist suppliers works on a multi-project environment
  • Confidence on advising clients on project related issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Host and manage project team and client/stakeholder meetings
  • Taking the lead on projects from beginning through to completion
  • A good team member who also sets an example for others to follow

Qualifications, Professional Bodies & Training:

  • Professionally qualified, or working towards professional qualification advantageous but not essential (RICS, CIOB, APM or similar). Support and mentoring can be provided
  • Degree or HNC level qualification

About Parkwood Project Management

Parkwood Project Management was established over 20 years ago and has significant experience working with both public and private sector organisations. We work on projects such as the development of new builds or upgrade of existing facilities, ensuring that our clients understand the performance and risks associated with their assets. In addition to our Asset Management role we also provide project management for special purpose companies for a number of long term PFI / PPP leisure projects.
