Robinwood Activity Centres – Recruiting now!

Would you like an exciting and rewarding job working with children?

Robinwood is an award-winning provider of residential courses for primary schools, with centres in Alston (Cumbria), Todmorden (Yorkshire) and Wrexham (North Wales). Our aim is to make a positive difference developing children.

We are currently looking for fun and outgoing people to work as Group Leaders delivering activities to the thousands of children who visit our centres.

We recruit year-round and have various start dates throughout the year. Starting salary is £15,358 for 33 HPW, rising with time served and responsibility. Robinwood only promotes from within so there is a good opportunity for progression within the company.

We are proud to have been in the Sunday Times ‘Top 100 Companies to Work For’ for the last 6 years!

Reasons to work for Robinwood:

  1. Worthwhile Work Become a part of our fantastic staff team, doing a job you love with like-minded enthusiastic and positive people and fulfilling our vision of “making a really positive difference developing children”.

  1. Permanent, Year-Round Employment & Progression All our staff are on year-round contracts with opportunities for progression. We promote from within and everyone you’ll meet started out as a Group Leader – even your Line Manager!

  1. Fair Pay All of our new starters will receive £9.50 per hour from 1st April 2022. We don’t offer apprenticeships and we firmly believe that our training is second to none.
  1. Free Meals All of your meals are totally free! Whilst on a shift at a centre each meal is provided for you, with drinks and snacks also available throughout the day.

  1. Training All of your training is paid for with opportunities continually available to develop new skills and expertise including opportunities to gain nationally recognised qualifications.

  1. Work-Life Balance We all enjoy a great work-life balance here with the same two consecutive days off each week. Most of our centres only operate Monday to Friday, so staff there get weekends off!  You’ll be required to work 5-day weeks for your first 8 working weeks, but after that, you have the option to drop to a 3-day or 4-day week if that would suit you better.

  1. Great Holidays Group Leaders enjoy at least 12 weeks off each year but still receive a year-round wage. As our centres only operate during term time, you would have the vast majority of school holiday time off.

  1. Bonus Payments We award bonuses each season for centre staff based on customer feedback. We also award an annual profit bonus for every single member of staff companywide!

  1. Fun!  A whole host of activities and social events take place throughout the year for you to join in on. Each centre has a team dedicated to choosing and organizing these for everyone to enjoy.

  1. Award Winning We are really proud to have won many awards for our staff provision, including multiple years as one of the Sunday Times Top 100 companies to work for and long-term holders of the Investors in People Gold Award.

We welcome applications from positive, enthusiastic people who have some experience (paid or voluntary) working with children and an interest in the activities we offer. Qualifications are not necessary as we provide all training. If you have the ability to relate to 7-11 year-olds and tell a good story, you could be the person for us!

Application forms and more details can be found on our website www.robinwoodcareers.co.uk.
