Nuffield Health St Bartholomew's Hospital

Bank Senior Physiotherapist - Pelvic Health

In early 2022, we will open the doors to Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital: The City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. This will be our flagship centre for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, colorectal surgery, gynaecology and urology services.

Alongside this we are opening our flagship fitness and wellbeing centre located at the Barbican, very close to the St Barts hospital site. This facility will hold a state of the art flagship industry leading gym and wellness centre, a large MDT orientated medical centre including emotional wellness, GP, physiotherapy, dietetics and other services.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated bank senior physiotherapist to join our physiotherapy team. You will see a range of pelvic health patients including urogynaecology, colorectal, post-operative, insurance and self-pay. You will develop close working relationships with our consultants to provide the patients with truly connected healthcare from hospital to medical centre to fitness facilities.

Ideally the candidate would have 2 years minimum experience in women's health (experience in men's health would be an advantage). If you have MSK experience, the hours could be extended to include an MSK caseload.

The main clinical duties and responsibilities are to:

  • Deliver excellent clinical care that is evidence-based, safe, effective, caring, well-led and responsive to our patient's needs

  • Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes

  • Work with other pelvic health physiotherapists in the region to ensure high standards of care throughout the London Nuffield pelvic health network.

Your Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Values
With a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, you'll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. You will have evidence of experience & further professional training in Pelvic Health and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.

You'll be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals. With a commitment to the use of evidence-based practice, you'll also be able to demonstrate excellent assessment, exercise prescription and manual therapy skills.

We expect you to be a competent and confident IT user and to be well organised - you'll have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.

It's equally important that you share our values. We believe in putting people first and providing personalised, holistic healthcare. That makes you part of a much wider team, working to create a healthier future for each individual client.
