Our Covent Garden restaurant is the latest addition to the FishWorks family and is an absolute essential for seafood lovers. The restaurant offers a traditional wet fish counter where you can buy fish to take home and cook yourself, or you can select any fish or crustacean with our fishmonger and have it cooked there and then to your liking. This chic stylish restaurant is only minutes away from the bustle of Covent Garden, on Tavistock Street. The restaurant offers a fantastic atmosphere for corporate dining and enjoying a pre-theatre meal before hitting the West End, as well as a private dining room for those special occasions and events.

You will find a wide variety of fresh fish, caught within the season, and delivered daily from our local fisheries and fishermen. We believe in supporting sustainable fishing and buy direct from locally sourced seafood such as rod and line caught Wild Sea Bass and Hand-Dived scallops from just off the coast of Dorset. Freshly caught for the freshest taste.

We are looking for a Sous Chef to join the FishWorks family and support the Head Chef in leading our passionate team of chefs. We need someone who is passionate about fish and seafood, and who understands how to develop and get the best out of their team, the importance of quality, and is able to ensure our food is delivered to specification every time.

What are we looking for in a FishWorks Sous Chef:

• A passion for all things food and a love of cooking
• High standards and excellent presentation skills
• Ability to confidently assist in leading a large back of house/kitchen team
• Experience of working with fresh, high quality fish and seafood would be advantageous
• Thorough knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety standards and procedures
• Proven knowledge of the entire kitchen operation
• Experience as a Sous Chef within a similar environment where quality and consistency go hand in hand
