Assistant Gym & Spa Manager - North London

Salary: £11.78 per hour

We are looking for a full time Assistant Gym & Spa Manager that will thrive in a luxury spa environment and provide our residents with an unforgettable experience. You will open and close the facility, deliver group exercise classes, personal training and other services and always be on top of your game, making sure you’re giving your all to help our residents make the most of their time within the spa.

Overview of The Facility

This residents only facility consists of a gym, studio, swimming pool sauna and steam room.

The development is exceptional and service expectations are of the highest level. This role is customer facing and it is essential for all staff to meet these expectations at all times.

There is a 24 hour concierge on site however the role will be lone working within the spa itself.  Depending on demand, there may be other members of staff on site at the same time delivering personal training sessions.

Essential Skills

• Fitness Instructor Level 2
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Demonstrable understanding of Gym & Spa procedures and services
• Excellent customer facing and communication skills
• Good report writing and presentation skills
• Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Desirable Skills

• Personal Training Level 3
• Interested in gaining further qualifications in injury rehabilitation, massage or beauty therapy are preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Gym & Spa Manager with training new & existing staff in all aspects of site operations, in accordance with the training folder and checklist.
• Assisting the Gym & Spa Manager with managing the rota for your site in accordance with company guidelines; ensuring rota is up to date on company server so Gym & Spa Area Manager has access.
• Assisting the Gym & Spa Manager with completing the PT on-off timesheet for appointments conducted by the Spa team.
• Conducting weekly site inspections and forwarding reports to the Gym & Spa Manager.
• Completing weekly site summary report drafts and forwarding to the Gym & Spa Manager
• Overseeing completion of all weekly/monthly site duties assigned to individual staff members, along with relevant paperwork. Assigning staff members to individual duties and providing any necessary training/guidance with the Gym & Spa Manager’s assistance if required. 
• Liaising with the established site cleaning company point of contact on a regular basis to ensure the required cleanliness standard is maintained by cleaning operatives. Any un-actioned concerns to be relayed to the Gym & Spa Manager for further investigation.
• To attend residents’ and Estate Management meetings if applicable and conduct yourself in a professional manner.
• To proactively monitor changes to operational requirements on G&S sites and amend procedures and risk assessments accordingly with the Gym & Spa Manager.
• Order & stock all consumable items as required and in accordance with the monthly stock count sheet – any items in need of replenishment you cannot order yourself need to be forwarded to the Gym & Spa Manager.
• Assist the Gym & Spa Manager with raising Purchase Orders if required.
• To suggest any improvements to process & procedures, client service to the Gym & Spa Manager.
• Assisting the Gym & Spa Manager with various Marketing and Blog content introduced to the site, i.e. monthly Fitness Fix submissions, Virtuagym posts and any promotional/event content to be advertised on site.
