Assistant Head Doorperson - Coworth Park

Position Overview

  • To supervise the team to provide a high level of service on both arrival and departure.
  • To provide a consistent lobby and forecourt presence ensuring that each guest receives the Coworth Park experience.
  • To work in liaison with other department managers, ensuring that communication and cooperation is at optimum levels to provide a seamless service to our guests.

Essential Functions & Physical Requirements

  • To maintain the Departmental Policy and Key Standards, ensuring that they are adhered to at all times.
  • To supervise, lead and motivate the team to ensure that all guests in the lobby are acknowledged with a warm and genuine smile and welcoming demeanour and that any enquiries are effectively dealt with.
  • To supervise, lead and motivate the team to ensure that all guests’ sense of arrival and departing experience in regarding cars, luggage collection, storage, delivery and escorting are handled according to the standards laid down in Hotel’s Standards of Procedures (SOP).
  • To familiarise oneself with the Hotel’s daily events and to ensure daily briefings are carried out at the start of each shift so that the team are fully aware of the events and handovers are given.
  • To ensure that the Lobby/Forecourt is covered by staff at all times.
  • To ensure that the Lobby/Forecourt is kept clean and tidy at all times, liaise with Housekeeping to maintain the cleanliness of the Lobby/Forecourt.
  • To ensure that luggage trolleys and buggies are fully operational, cleaned and maintained at all times.
  • To deal with concierge requests and e-valet,
  • To manage guest bikes, including the equipment's such as helmets, kids’ chairs, take control of GSA stationary (Tag, Plastic wallets, etc.) and umbrellas stock.
  • To actively monitor the behaviour, attitude, appearance and standard or work of the team maintaining discipline and informing the manager when the disciplinary procedure is necessary.
  • To ensure that all on-job training carried out within the department is signed off on the relevant training records.
  • To assist the managers in writing and maintaining the departmental policy, Key standards, Training Manuals and any other related documentation and administration for the team.
  • To participate in regular departmental meetings and to ensure that minutes of these meetings are taken and distributed tot he relevant parties.
  • To ensure that all relevant information relating to the business, its clients, and/or employees is communicated to all team members as appropriate.
  • To produce reports as required by the manager

Qualifications and Desirables

  • Valid clean British drivers licence – need to of held it for 2 years minimum
  • Five Star experience
