GROUP FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

A key senior manager in the Group Finance structure, representing the Finance function in discussions with the wider business (e.g. sales, F&B, procurement, marketing, leisure, RD’s, GMs, etc.) and supporting the core streams within the Central and Property Finance Functions.

Operational Finance & Finance Strategy

• Operational finance function core to the day to day role,  this includes the on-going build out of the DataLake (BigQuery), where all system data is pushed and interrogated using data intelligence software, Looker.  
• Build out of market-leading Business/Management Information that allows the business to drive revenue and reduce cost (e.g. real time performance dashboards on Sales, Payroll, Expenses, etc., Forecasting/budgeting and historical performance tools, etc.).
• Working with the business to identify how the latest technologies can be implemented to improve performance and profitability.
• Managing the Group capex process relating to operational FF&E, ensuring all controls are in place to maange FF&E and new projects / developments/
• Working with the Brand Finance Manager – Projects to support all initiatives and projects that support the group wide objectives of driving efficiency and providing ‘single source/one truth’ data to the business.

Shared Support Service Centre

• Managing the Central Finance Manager, who oversees the Shared Support Centre (SSC) functions; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury.   This includes establishing and reporting on traditional SSC KPIs (Aged Debtor Days, Creditor Days, etc.) and monitoring cash flow and liquidity.  
• Milestone tasks include periodic review and discussions around the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers, review and approval of payment runs, review and approval of the weekly three Month Cash Flow Forecast.
• Managing the  Financial Reporting & Compliance Manager and Payroll & TnA Manager  and the payroll process.  

Management & Statutory Accounts

• Overseeing the Head of Management Accounts with the day-to-day management of the centralised accounting for the group hotels.  This includes traditional month end close processes as well as the final review and sign off on the draft management accounts for presentation to the CFO.  
• Once finalised the Group Financial Controller with support with the preparation of the month end management accounts pack and any additional reporting required by the leadership and ownership group.
• The group Financial Controller will provide support to the Financial Reporting & Compliance Manager, who is responsible for the preparation of the statutory accounts and all statutory filings (e.g. taxes, etc.).

AD-HOC

Other ad-hoc tasks will include:

• Supporting and managing elements of the the Group Internal Audit and Risk control process
• Supporting the annual Insurance placement process
• KSL operational performance requestsStrong working relationship with the Head of Corporate Finance and FP&A
