As a member of our housekeeping team, you will play an important role in creating a long-lasting impression and greatly influence the total guest experience. Cleaning each hotel guest room and public area to brand standard ensures a welcome and relaxing environment for our guests while they’re away from home.

About us:

Hotel Indigo, Edinburgh is a unique and trendy hotel set in the thick of this vibrant city, a stone’s throw from Waverley train station. We also have great tram and bus links just a few steps from the hotel’s door.

Your role in our family:

As a Guest Service Assistant, key to your role:

  • To ensure all rooms are turned around in an efficient manner.
  • All rooms must be cleaned, sanitised and prepared in accordance with SHG and Brand guidelines
  • Perform self-inspections of assigned rooms and areas to ensure standards are met
  • Practice safe working conditions under Occupational Safety and Health Administration Guidelines. 
  • Report any material discrepancies beyond the scope of the Housekeeping Department to the Housekeeping Manager or Maintenance Department.
  • Support your line manager in ordering and maintaining linen stock.
  • Always provide an efficient and friendly service to guests and striving to increase guest satisfaction and Trip Advisor scores and reviews.
  • Deal with any guest queries/complaints in a polite and friendly manner ensuring guest satisfaction
  • All complaints, comments, special requests, and other business to be recorded in the daily handover log.
