Here at Lilleshall our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Commis Chef to join the centre.
Lilleshall is one of Sport England`s National Sports Centres and is home to a number of National Governing Bodies of Sport. Lilleshall provides excellent facilities to Britain’s leading sports men and women. We are also a Conferencing and Event Centre, boasting a large number of recently refurbished rooms and outdoor spaces for weddings, corporate events, and team-building days.
As the Commis Chef, you will work in the main kitchen in support of the Head chef and Sous Chef and be expected to be part of the team in the development of the catering services. You will ensure that dishes are prepared and cooked according to the specific restaurant standard and hygiene procedures. You will maintain a detailed Knowledge of menus and produce dishes to the standards required.
We are looking for someone who is fully flexible to cover mornings, evenings, and weekends. This is for weddings, functions and site requirements.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual who like the members of staff at Lilleshall, pride and strive to give the best service possible for those who visit the centre and go the extra mile for customers when required.
You will have a strong chef background and a Level 2 food safety qualification is desirable. Experience within functions and hospitality is also highly desirable. A robust practical catering background with experience of working in quality kitchen environments is essential. Expectation is that you will produce food to a high standard whilst monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
