We are looking for a Marketing Executive to join our vibrant and successful head office marketing department. This offers you a fantastic opportunity to manage the creation, delivery and measurement of member campaigns to over half a million members across all David Lloyd UK and European Clubs! The role sits within a dynamic and fast paced marketing team, delivering and implementing monthly email, acquisition and social campaigns to help drive higher volume of enquiries. The breadth of exciting products, propositions and channels make this an exciting and diverse role.  

Main Responsibilities:

  • Own the email KPI’s; manage the calendar, write and build the campaigns, track the performance against the monthly targets and prepare reports for the business stakeholders on performance and learning’s for future campaigns.
  • Build website landing pages for e-mails and optimise to maximise e-mail conversion. Work closely with project teams to co-ordinate the delivery of email communications for new club openings and club investments. Coordinate with the in-house Design Manager and external Creative Agency to produce assets for the marketing plans that align with the business goals.  Create weekly, monthly and quarterly reports so that the team can ensure that campaigns and general proactive PR coverage are communicating the key brand messages effectively. Manage the media monitoring and tag the daily press coverage and circulate key coverage to key stakeholders on a daily basis. Monitor competitor activity and report back any key findings. Support the Acquisition Marketing Manager and PR & Social Manager in delivering agreed activities. Manage team assets to ensure the image library is well organised and campaign content and reports are easily accessible. Support with the communication and delivery of acquisition and social media marketing activity for clubs. Be the go-to person in the team for club acquisition marketing and social media enquiries, manage the marketing inbox and disseminate requests to the relevant team. Manage agenda for weekly and monthly team meetings. Maintain the monthly planning and budget documents including raising all purchase orders on time and cross references quotes and invoices against agency budgets. Develop relationships with all key contacts internally and with external agencies and suppliers.

    Skills and experience needed:

  • Degree qualified and holds a marketing qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong project management, attention to detail and planning skills
  • Proven experience in building and deploying effective email campaigns that achieve commercial targets and a good understanding of audience segmentation.
  • Demonstrable numerical skills; ability to identify data, challenge and interrogate volumes and measure ROI’s.
  • Excellent written communication skills including copywriting, proof reading - attention to detail really is key.
  • Ability to use initiative and take responsibility for tasks undertaken.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and develop positive relationships with colleagues as well as being driven, self motivated and shows initiative.
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced business and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to use Photoshop or alternative system with an eye for design.
  • Skills in Microsoft office applications and social media
  • Comfortable using and manipulating data. Mostly in Excel, Formulas, Formatting data, VLOOKUP
  • An understanding of consumer journeys
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues within systems
