Job title: Duty Officer
Location: Market Drayton Swimming and fitness centre, Shropshire, TF9 1JT
Job type: 12 months fixed term
Working Hours: 30 per week, rota hours between 6am to 10.30pm Mon to Fri and every other weekend 7.30am to 5.30pm
Salary: £10,765 to £13,351 per annum
Here at Shropshire Community Leisure Trust our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Duty Officer to join our centre.
As the Duty Officer, the purpose of your role is to manage the facility on a day to day basis ensuring all activities are delivered to a high standard with safety as the priority. The role will involve a high level of customer interaction as well as the deployment and supervision of the operational team.
In addition, the role will involve taking control and responding in the event of any emergency.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual who like the members of staff, pride and strive to give the best service possible for those who visit the centre and go the extra mile for customers when required and are confident using a computer. You will be outgoing, friendly and not shy from speaking with members of the public, have bags of motivation, be a self-starter and will be willing to go the extra mile for customers and fellow colleagues when required.
As you will at times be doing Lifeguarding duties, having an NPLQ qualification is essential for this position and having a Pool Plant certificate would also be desirable as would having previous experience in a similar role.
