JOB TITLE: Meeting and Events Sales Executive

DEPARTMENT: Venue Non matchday

REPORTING TO: Katie Moore – Sales Manager

JOB FUNCTION: Sell & contract events on Non matchday, yield the diary around fixtures, generate profit for the dept.


LOCATION: Stamford Bridge

CONTRACT: 35 hours a week – permanent


To take enquiries, follow up, conduct site visits and convert bookings for Meetings and Events. Ensuring 4 hour response deadline to enquiries is being met

Attend weekly chase/conversion meeting ensuring all business leads are followed up in a timely manor 

Ensuring that all events are entered into CRM Dynamics correctly

To maximise revenue at every opportunity by suggestive selling and upselling.

To maximise yield within set parameters and in maintaining profit conversion by controlling revenue and costs.

Assisting with managing the events inbox and online leads


  • Achieving monthly team targets
  • High customer satisfaction levels as measured by customer feedback Minimisation of customer complaints
  • Maintaining profit conversion
  • Reaching a minimum of 70% for mystery customer reports on telephone enquiries
  • Maintain motivation and a positive working attitude within the team
  • Accuracy of contract and written information




  • Proven experience in event sales
  • Sound knowledge of UK events industry in particularly, London
  • Computer literate including MS Outlook, Word & Dynamics
  • Confident in customer facing situations – with personel of all levels


  • Ability to inspire customer trust and confidence
  • Ability to deal effectively with, and gain support of, internal colleagues.
  • Ability to think fast and deliver solutions to customer requirements
  • Ability to work in a demanding, pressurised, complex environment
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.

The Employee must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities with due regard to Chelsea Football Club policies and procedures in particular Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and with regard to the Data Protection Act. The Employee must act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are in their care or attending the Company's premises. The Employee must report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the Safeguarding Lead.
