About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Chorley Leisure Limited as Aquatics Co-ordinator (part of the Chorley Council family).

As part of the Leisure Services team, the Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for planning, overseeing and directing various aquatic activities. The Aquatics Co-ordinator will provide leadership and support to the swim teachers, ensuring all activities are delivered to a high standard with safety as the first priority. 

The role requires the development of strong customer relationships that promote retention and attendance of aquatics classes, ensuring every class delivers a positive experience for attendees.

We are looking for someone with managerial experience who can proactively lead and support the Swim team, providing clear direction whilst prioritising tasks and objectives. You will work together to share knowledge and experience to continuously improve the aquatics provision within the Leisure service.

What the successful candidate will have:

Qualifications:

Essential: Level 2 in teaching swimming qualification, awarded by Swim England or the Swimming Teachers Association (STA)

Desirable: Level 3 Swim Coordinator, awarded by Swim England or the Swimming Teachers Association (STA)

Experience:

• Experience of swimming teaching/coaching/coordinating.
• Experience of leading or supervising a team in a service lead role.
• Needs Analysis and Goal Setting.
