We are based in the heart of the Langdale Valley. Our Estate compromises 2 Hotels, 100 Self Catering Lodges, Spa, Gym and Pool, Stove Restaurant and Bar, and Wainwrights Pub. Oh, and our own little “village” of our 70 resident staff!   

 

As a company we pride ourselves on our culture and we constantly go the extra mile to ensure our team feel valued. Stove is the main Food and Beverage hub of the Estate and we cater for all our guests’ food and drink needs, from breakfast to pizza, cocktails to steaks, and everything in between. Stove is staffed by our team of Food and Beverage Assistants, a role that encompasses many different aspects of restaurant work such as waiter, bartender, host, and generally being fantastic ambassadors for the Estate. Monday morning could be serving coffee and eggs, Tuesday night carving a sharing lamb at the table and Wednesday shaking up a cocktail or pouring a pint. Done these things before? Great! If not but you like the sound of it, no problem. If you have the right attitude, a desire to learn and a genuine smile, we can teach you the rest. 

 

Outside of your work hours we are perfectly placed for the outdoor lifestyle that many dream of. Langdale valley is one the best walking spots in the country and there are almost unlimited walks right from the doorstep. And if walking is not your thing, how about cycling, paddle boarding, tennis, or a dip in the local river or lake! If the weather isn’t great and you don’t fancy donning the waterproofs, perhaps taking advantage of the staff’s free access to our gym and pool would tickle your fancy? And if you’re not in the energetic mood, maybe even just a lounge in the hot tub or steam room, also included in your staff benefits.
