The Assistant Maintenance Manager will have overall responsibility (in the absence of the Manager) of the day to day upkeep of the hotel. Working closely with the General Manager you’ll ensure the hotel is maintained to a high standard.

What will I do?

• Reactive and preventative maintenance
• Testing of equipment
• Ensure plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating and electrical works are to standard
• Responding to all maintenance issues within the hotel
• Conducting staff training on equipment and procedures
• Weekly fire alarm tests
• Ensuring the hotel is both safe and functional for our guests, by conducting regular checks, contributing to ensuring each visitor has an outstanding experience

Is this the role for me?

• Previous maintenance experience, ideally within a hotel environment or similar
• In-depth knowledge & experience H&S, compliance, legislation, legionella, pool plant, etc.
• Capex experience
• Managed various size projects
• Relevant qualifications 
• Health & safety qualification & experience
• Flexible to work shifts and weekends
• Passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience
• Pride yourself in your work
• Attend emergency callouts
• Hands-on
• People management experience as well as managing 3rd party contractors
• Budgetary experience
