Northcroft Leisure Centre

Situated near the centre of Newbury, West Berkshire. Northcroft Leisure Centre’s facilities include a 63-station fitness gym, 25m 6 lane swimming pool and dedicated learner pool, sauna, multipurpose 6-court sports hall, 2 squash courts,

The Opportunity

As a Duty Manager you will be trained to demonstrate full competence in the following areas; Financial reporting, processes and procedures, HR policies, procedures and practice, operational monitoring, facilities management and maintenance, customer service, sales and marketing.

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual who is looking to progress their career into management. This role will be adapted to fit you and your skills to ensure you reach your goals.

You will oversee the centre operation and support the management team in the day-to-day running of the centre and in addition you’ll be involved in numerous activities and programs on offer.  This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop within the leisure industry.  In addition if the candidate has or the ability to obtain gym qualifications there will be the opportunity to be involved in this area as part of your rota.

The Person

Experience and knowledge of the fitness, leisure or health industries is advantageous and ideally, the successful candidate will hold a degree in Sports or similar. You will ideally hold a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or have the swimming ability to gain one .

Holding a BTEC or HND and having experience in a leadership role are advantageous but not essential.
