- Previous experience working within a Front Desk or similar environment preferred
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
- Pro-active and reliable
- Able to work alone and within a team
Education or Certification
- Good level of English essential
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
- To be able to deal with advance reservations, taking bookings and special requirements, where necessary.
To be able to operate switchboard and deal with messages and enquiries when required in an efficient manner.
To receive guests on arrival to required standard, and ensure their details are entered into the computer correctly and efficiently.
To post all transactions on a regular basis, to ensure that all bills are kept up to date. Ensure correct charges posted to correct bills.
To prepare cash for banking and ensure that all floats are correct at the end of each shift.
To operate a proper handover system between each shift.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
- Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.
