Customer Service Advisor/Marketing Executive - Haywards Heath Hospital - Up to £21,000 depending on experience

As part of the Sales and Marketing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional and caring support to the community as well as the hospital and wider Nuffield Health teams.

 

The role of Customer Service Advisor is to create and increase business by providing a high quality enquiry handling service, supplying potential customers with information about the services offered at Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital and ensuring up to date communications are also delivered.

 

Working as part of a team, your vital role will see you take ownership of enquiries received into the hospital from various stakeholder groups including patients, consultants, GP's and medical secretaries. You will need to be a confident and customer-focused communicator. You will respond to a wide variety of customer requests, primarily via the telephone but also from web enquiries, email and on occasion face to face. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating sales leads via a CRM system and following each lead to close, focusing on maximising sales whilst delivering high quality customer service.

 

Your role will also be to assist in Nuffield Health's marketing function. Setting up and hosting of promotional events to consumers and medical professionals, providing a digital media presence through popular social media channels and ensuring the Nuffield Health Haywards Heath web pages are up to date, user friendly and represent all the Hospitals services and functions accurately. In addition, working within the Sales and Marketing team, the successful candidate may also be required to generate hospital literature, advertising materials and work with local PR agencies from time to time.

 

Requirements for the Post

Preferred: 1-2 years relevant experience in a similar role

Preferred: Customer Service and Sales experience

Preferred: Educated to GCSE in English and Maths with NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent

Required: Good written and verbal communication skills

Required: Good interpersonal skills and a good level of IT literacy

Required: Good attention to detail

 

Key Accountabilities

  • To provide an efficient and effective enquiry handling service, supplying potential customers with detailed information about the services offered at the hospital in response to telephone, web, email and face to face enquiries.

  • To act as a patient advisor confidently guiding patients through every aspect of their patient journey from initial enquiry right through to patient discharge. Gaining an insight and knowledge into all hospital departments that have customer touch points to ensure the patient can be put at ease by clearly outlining expectations of the patient journey from beginning to end.

  • Support Medical Secretaries and Hospital Bookings Team to ensure that customer requirements and queries are dealt with effectively.

  • To arrange and host events working with a range of health care professionals to deliver high quality educational and community events to the general public both within the hospital and externally. Working, on occasion, during the evenings and weekends.

  • To regular monitor the Nuffield Health Haywards Heath web pages ensuring correct, up to date and relevant content is displayed at all times providing an informative and easy user experience designed to maximise enquiries.

  • To work with central teams to ensure that hospital product and service information is up-to-date and meets customer requirements in providing the information they need to support healthcare choice decisions.

  • To maintain the necessary administrative systems and processes to support business development requirements.

  • To develop constructive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • To assist in the co-ordination and delivery of projects, supporting the achievement of business aims.

  • To assist in the promotion of the services of the hospital throughout the local community.
