Hey, this is us;

Here at The Boat, we are a creative group who have found our way together, to help bring a new breath-taking restaurant concept that will take the Solent by storm. Using the freshest local catches and ingredients the island has to offer, creating a menu like none other.

What do we look for in our Junior Sous Chef;

We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef, or an experienced CDP looking to take their next step into a hospitality career, who has a passion for creating and producing quality fresh food in a business that puts people first.

  • Have experience leading excellent service through quality food & organisation.
  • Demonstrate a passion and drive for leading and developing a team.
  • Working alongside your Head Chef and Sous Chef you will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new dishes for our menus
  • Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls in  both GP and labour
  • Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house teams
  • Be an active hands-on Chef with outstanding communication skills
  • Have experience of being responsible and able to manage the kitchen staff rota, training and all health and safety effectively at all times
