JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible of the “save keeping” of all keys held in Housekeeping Office, keeping the record keys issued from the office, answering and keeping records of all telephone calls to ensure the messages are passed to the related department or section for handling, ensuring that incoming email/mail and memos for the department are received and distributed, preparing weekly requisitions for guests and cleaning supplies from the store rooms amongst other tasks.

You will co-ordinate with other departments to solve any operational problems, order routine housekeeping supplies as necessary, spot check departure rooms when they are serviced and maintain the standards laid down by the hotel and checking resident’s rooms making sure they are left in a clean and orderly fashion are also part of the job. You will need to ensure that the service and standards are maintained to the highest possible degree, conducive with hotel policy and to assist in any way that may be necessary to ensure the efficiency and smooth running of the Housekeeping Department.
