Delivery and internal quality assurance of Lifeguard and First Aid Competency Training across allocated Clubs including monitoring compliance and required records
Tutoring and assessment of STA Lifeguard & First Aid qualifications
Providing support to approved Club Competent Person on delivery of competency training in line with set modules and calendar, updating systems and providing expert advice where necessary.
Support the IQA for STA delivery and qualifications and assist with EQA visits and requirements
Delivery and management of other safety and compliance training that includes water testing and relevant health and safety courses
Your Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for allocated Clubs within London and/or rest of the UK
To work with Club Operations Manager/Competent Person to ensure;
o Implementation and delivery of Lifeguard and First Aid competency training is in place and follows Competency Training Plan for designated clubs
o Provide expert support and quality assurance to the business in regards to STA qualifications delivery and required safety and competency training
o Deliver Lifeguard and First Aid technical training in line with current Competency Training Plan for designated clubs
o Produce and deliver agreed technical training module in line with Competency Training Plan for designated clubs
o I-TUS system (Compliance Management System) is updated with required records relating to attendance and completion of competency training post all delivery
o Early identification of any potential risks to designated Clubs linked to Lifeguard and First Aid competency training in particular:
Team Member failing to attend/maintain required competency hours
Team Members failing to meet required competency standards
Team Member with qualifications due to expire or requiring renewal 2 months in advance
To plan and carry out required IQA activity for delivery of competency training by competent person in club in line with IQA Sampling Plan and record on relevant system
To plan and carry out club competent person standardisation activity on a regular basis
To assist in the ongoing development of I-TUS system including information and data to assist in effective management reporting moving forward
To produce monthly reports as prescribed by the Lead Safety & Compliance Tutor
To support the commercial academy through tutoring or assessing STA courses when required
Work as part of the People Team to continually update and improve delivery of training, recording of data and other related activity taking key role on specific areas associated with STA Qualifications
Support the management of external regulator expectations, inspections and visits

Knowledge and experience of delivery of the required Virgin Active safety and compliance qualifications or equivalents in particular:
o STA Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding
o STA Level 2 Award in Pool Emergency Responder
o STA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
o STA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid
Accredited with STA Tutor status or equivalent with other Awarding Organisation
Hold Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent
Strong communication skills with the ability to present information to all levels and confidently deliver recommendations.

We’d love you to have:
Experience and knowledge of Club management and operations
Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice or equivalent
Knowledge and use of LMS Systems
Knowledge of Internal Quality Assurance processes and actions
Knowledge and use of the STA I-TUS system
