Legal Compliance Manager

The role is partly based at Head Office near Woking but remote working whilst visiting each of the 10 sites will also be expected.

Salary: will be based on skills, experience and qualifications  £25,000 - £30,000

Summary of job role and responsibilities:

To work with the Director of Legal Compliance and Development to implement the Legal Compliance strategy through Barons Pub Company.

To manage, advise, and support the senior managers and management teams on all aspects of legal compliance, which directly affect the efficient and compliant running of the Barons sites, teams, and operations.

To respond to changes in legislation and support the development of the Legal Compliance strategy, Policies, Procedures and Safe working practice.

Working with the Director of Legal Compliance and Development to meet Baron’s key business objectives: that each site will be run professionally, profitably, efficiently, and compliantly.

To ensure the role supports the delivery of Barons Values and Competency Framework.

As the Legal Compliance Manager of Barons Pub Company, you will be required to have or develop a competent knowledge and application of these areas of law:

• Health and Safety
• Fire
• Food Safety
• Licensing
• GDPR

In this multi-site role, the candidate requires exceptional communication and team building skills. The candidate needs to be able to provide constructive feedback and form action plans that ensure legal compliance and support the General Managers.

Desired qualifications include a degree, preferably in Law or Health, Safety and Environmental Health. Level 3 in Food Safety and Health and Safety. A relevant risk assessment qualification. Support will be given to obtain these qualifications if they have not yet been acquired.
