Working shifts: 7am-3pm; 1pm-9.30pm

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a positive and professional Shift Supervisor to join our team based at our Northcote Road store near Clapham Junction station.
About the role
As one of our Shift Supervisors, you will keep our stores running smoothly. From motivating the team and delegating tasks, to rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in, you will help us to maintain our high standards every day. You will support your Store Manager and take full responsibility for the shop floor when running a shift. Our Shift Supervisors are the face of our brand; serving customers front of house and giving the very best personalised shopping experience. Therefore, you will be responsible for handling customer queries, concerns and complaints in a professional and calm manner. Ultimately, our Shift Supervisors are there to amaze our customers with warm service and delight them with excellent product and supplier knowledge so that they keep coming back. They will also need to give the same experience to the team around them so that everyone feels valued, recognised and ready to build their career with Bayley & Sage.
Key responsibilities
- Supervising the team to ensure the smooth, efficient operation of the store.
- Ensuring compliance of the company’s operating procedures and standards at all times.
- Ensuring all staff are delivering outstanding customer service.
- Always ensuring adherence to the company’s product quality standards
- Communicating any availability or quality issues to the store manager.
- Resolving any customer complaints, passing any customer feedback to store manager.
- Reporting significant maintenance or safety issues to store manager.
- Ensuring store merchandising is carried out
- Accurately completing stock and order sheets.
- Ensuring the clocking in and out procedures are followed and organising staff breaks.
- Complying with opening and closing procedures.
About you
You will be a natural leader with a can-do attitude who enjoys inspiring and developing others to perform their best. You will be a self-motivated team player with great communication skills, you will learn quickly and enjoy showing new Team Members how it is done. To be successful in this role, you will be reliable, hard-working and energetic and you will stop at nothing to make your customer happy. You will be required to work shift hours and have a flexible approach to working patterns. Ideally you will have demonstrable retail customer service experience and be able to show that you have led a team to success.
