Night Kitchen Cleaner - Staff Accommodation Available 

Full Time and Part Time available. Evenings and weekends will be required.

 

The Newt in Somerset is looking to recruit a kitchen night cleaner who will be responsible for ensuring that our brand new kitchen, equipment and back of house area is kept clean and tidy. his could be the start of your career in hospitality or you could be looking to ease yourself back into employment. There will be opportunities for career progression at The Newt.

Our night cleaners play a crucial role in the function of our kitchen. Above anything else, our kitchens need to be spotless to ensure a top-quality service. As a night cleaner your key responsibilities will be:

 

  • Cleaning all kitchen equipment:
  • Extractor fan hoods
  • Grills and ovens  
  • Walls
  • Kitchen work surfaces
  • Cupboards
  • Sinks and taps
  • Fridges
  • Floors

 

Skills and Experience

 

  • Similar experience on nights would be useful
  • Tidy and methodical worker
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to work to goals and targets
  • Takes direction well

The Newt in Somerset

Hadspen House is the focal point of our estate, housing a 23-bedroom hotel, library, bar and kitchen called the Botanical Rooms. We offer a true, farm to fork dining experience in a beautifully designed, atmospheric 60 cover restaurant. All food is prepared in our kitchen with ingredients fresh from our gardens or locally sourced, ensuring quality and seasonality throughout our offering. Open for breakfast through to dinner, we also host afternoon tea in the library and early evening cocktails on the terrace. The department extends into the house, encompassing the bar, library, croquet lawn, terrace and badminton court – delivering exceptional service throughout.
