About the role

We have a great opportunity for a Payroll Assistant to join us on a part time basis working 20-25 hours per week. This role can be remotely based with some travel into our head office in Nottingham as required.

Working within the Payroll Team you will help us to ensure that all colleagues are paid accurately, queries are answered in a timely and professional manner and all returns and reconciliations are completed.

The successful applicant will have a keen eye for numbers with attention to detail and high levels of accuracy, will be highly organised with great communication skills and the ability to build rapport with internal and external customers. You'll have the ability to remain patient and calm under pressure allowing you to provide the necessary support effectively.



Responsibilities

Provide support to the Payroll team, which will consist of;

  • Payroll input; bank details, tax codes, maternity, paternity, sickness
  • Assisting with the weekly 'time and attendance' interface
  • Completing starter/leaver/amendment tasks
  • Dealing with incoming post
  • Categorising and responding to incoming emails
  • Completing forms from 3rd parties
  • Completing forms to send to employees in relation to maternity/paternity
  • General office tasks; scanning, filing
  • Present a positive and professional image of Buzz Bingo in all dealings with internal and external customers
  • Additional ad hoc duties that may be required by the Payroll Manager


Skills, Knowledge and Behaviour

Your knowledge and experience:

  • Payroll experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
  • You will be organised, good at multi-tasking and prioritising your work.
  • You will have a good head for numbers.
  • You will be someone who has experience of working within a quick paced environment
  • Basic level of IT skills

Your skills:

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to react to high pressure scenarios
  • Customer focused ensuring high standards are delivered to internal and external customers
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually with minimal supervision along with the ability to plan own time effectively
  • Effective communication skills at all levels


Additional Information

This role is offered on a part time basis working 20-25 hours per week with a pro-rata salary based on a 21,000 per annum full time equivalent.
