Managing day-to-day restaurant and bar operations by maximizing financial returns, driving development of people, creating and maintaining a unique guest experience, execution of Brand Standards and building awareness of hotel and brand in the local community.

About us:

Located in the heart of Bristol’s Old City, the hotel is right by the waterside, within easy walking distance of the prime cultural, business and shopping districts. This boutique style hotel includes 116 uniquely designed guest rooms. Not to be missed, is Buttermilk and Maple which offers relaxed, dining alongside aromatic coffee and craft beers.

Your role in our family:

Key responsibilities to your role: 


  • Establish and implement appropriate service recovery guidelines resulting in complete guest satisfaction.
  • Review guest feedback and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue. Drive promotions that deliver great dining experiences for guests at good value.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and co-ordination with other shifts and departmental managers/supervisors.
  • Manage day-to-day operational activities, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance and recognize good performance.
  • Educate, train and motivate restaurant and bar team to achieve hotel goals & objectives.
  • Ensure staff have the tools and equipment to successfully carry out their duties.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and assignments of the restaurant and bar team; assist the General Manager in the development and communication of departmental strategies and goals.
  • Communicate and enforce policies & procedures.
  • Control payroll costs and other expenses.
  • Daily banking of cash and card payments.
  • Serve as a duty manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
