What we look for in a Head Chef;

This role requires someone that can inspire a team, to bring out the potential and lead by example whilst being able to produce great food for the variety of revenue streams within the business.

• Have experience championing excellent service through quality food either as a Head Chef or in the position of Sous Chef.

• Demonstrate a passion for leading and developing a team

• Be an active hands-on team player with excellent communication skills

• Be responsible and able to manage the kitchen staff rota, training and all health and safety effectively at all times

• Be able to demonstrate your ability

• Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and labour

• Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house teams

About Us:

The Filly Inn is a beautiful country pub located at the heart of Brockenhurst in the New Forest. Currently undergoing a million-pound makeover. The investment will inject a new lease of life into the Filly Inn, giving it a traditional country bar look and feel. The heart of the pub will be the warm and welcoming bar, with scrub topped tables and flagstone floors along with a cosy snug, and open fires.

The Filly Inn will offer something for everyone, with its fresh and relaxing dining room serving delicious food from its open kitchen.

The seven beautifully furnished letting rooms are the perfect base for people to explore this stunning area. With comfortable beds, country décor, and shower rooms with under-floor heating and rainstorm showers, they are an idyllic place to kick off your shoes and put your feet up.

The outside space is the real showstopper. A stunning terrace with fire pits, sheltered areas and a boules court alongside, and a pop-up bar and kitchen for the summer months. With space for up to 200 guests, locals and holidaymakers will be able to sit back and relax in the sun with great food and drink while watching New Forest wild ponies wander by
