Salary: £19,294 - £20,296 per annum

In autumn 2021, we'll open the doors to Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital: The City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. This will be our flagship centre for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, and gynaecology and urology services.

The new hospital will consist of:

  • 48 inpatient and day case bedrooms

  • 28 consultation rooms

  • Three digital operating theatres

  • Cardiac catheterisation lab

  • Specialist intensive care beds

  • Oncology day unit

  • Endoscopy and minor ops theatre

  • Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and committed individual to join our brand new team in our new London hospital. Responsible for cleaning within all areas of the hospital including departments such as imaging and theatres, you'll enjoy the chance to make a real difference with Nuffield Health. We'll expect you to actively contribute to the new team and service development over the first few months of commissioning & to help prepare the hospital to open in 2021. Prior to doors opening, we will require the team to assist with preparing the departments for delivery of all new equipment & furniture to make sure that the rooms are clean and ready to receive the new items. This may involve a short period of induction & training at one of our other hospital sites to start with BICs training & assessment plans but this will be negotiated individually.

Once the hospital is operational, you will work with the Housekeeping & Porter Manager, Housekeeping Team Leader and along the way, you'll build strong relationships with hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients. Working collaboratively alongside the rest of the team, you'll ensure our patients benefit from the best possible services, equipment and care.

You will ideally have prior experience working in a similar role & setting with high volumes of patient activity and private patient environments. You will be responsible for keeping the Hospital clean, pleasant and safe for customers. As this is a customer facing environment the successful candidates will also need to possess great customer service skills. Previous experience in a private healthcare environment would be useful, but onsite training in the role can be provided.
