HSSU Coordinator/Bookings - Tunbridge Wells Hospital - Up to £23,000
Nuffield Health is Britain's largest not-for-profit healthcare organisation. Join us as a HSSU Coordinator in our Tunbridge Wells Hospital and play your part in building a healthier nation.
The Role
This is a key role to support our friendly multi-disciplinary theatre team, as a HSSU (Hospital Sterile Services Unit) Coordinator in our small team you will;
-
Processing of used surgical instruments for dispatch and the receipt of sterile surgical equipment.

Moving and handling trays and items of various weights and sizes.

Maintaining accurate records and keeping documentation up to date essential.

Photograph all trays and check all paperwork is completed correctly.

Dispose of contaminated waste in accordance with hospital policy.

Manage the receiving of loan equipment and dealing with enquires regarding instrumentation.

Regularly check that equipment is in good working order and that all faults are reported.

Maintain a clean and tidy working environment whilst checking medical devices for damage.

Taking appropriate action to rectify any problems and escalating all issues where necessary.

Maintain accurate records/ documentation in accordance with statutory and organisational policies/ procedures.
The Person
To succeed as a HSSU Coordinator you will have;

Basic computer literacy.

High organisation skills.

Salary - Up tp £23,000
Location - Tunbridge Wells Hospital
Hours - Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
