Manhattan Test Analyst

The Manhattan Team in ASDA is responsible for working closely with the dotcom fulfilment centres to deliver changes that will drive efficiency and improve the level of service to our customers. The Test Analyst is a critical member of the team who is there to ensure there is a high degree of quality to the changes that the team delivers
The Test Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining and executing test scripts to ensure the thorough testing of all changes. In addition, that testing activities are prioritised and planned inline with the release schedule.
Day To day duties
- Working closely with the configuration team to gain a solid understanding of the changes and what needs to be tested.
- Ensure a good working knowledge of all site processes relating to the Manhattan Solution.
- Developing and executing test scripts.
- Provide estimates for all test activities.
- Raise defects with the team with full details for them to be investigated.
- Ensure all regression test packs are kept up to date and relevant.
- Carry out regression testing for all changes that are made.
- Work with the TCS team to organise the running of automated test packs.
- Ensure TCS are informed of all changes that will impact automated testing, so they are able to maintain their scripts.
- Work with the business teams alongside the configuration team to understand requirements so that changes are test led.
- Support the planning of testing for large scale projects where significant changes are required to the Manhattan WMOS.
- In conjunction with the site operational teams provide on-site implementation support for significant changes to the operating model.
- Effectively manage your own workload, correctly prioritising tasks
- Support the service team in problem management investigations & resolution
Experience Required:
- Oracle SQL experience is preferred but not essential.
- Manhattan Associates WMOS/MIF experience is preferred but not essential
- Good understanding of logistics processes and best practice
- Excellent communication skills
- Logical Thinking & Problem solving
- Experience of writing and executing test scripts.
